Product Love!: Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain

Brand: Revlon
Price:  $17.99  AUD
For best results, according to Revlon: Apply to dry lips, wait 30 seconds then apply the lip balm (attached)
What I think? I love this lipstain! I've tried the ones from Bourjois and Covergirl but this one knocks them out of the water! I have the Revlon Just Bitten in the shade Gothic (second from the bottom, in picture above) and colour pigment is great and it doesn't dry out your lips! Bonus! I especially love the balm attached on the other side as it intensely moisturises and adds shine! Oh and I can't help thinking the name and it's association with Twilight is pretty alluring.  Picture below is of me wearing Gothic on my lips, and I have to admit I applied it very quickly so I didn't do a perfect job, haha! It is also important to note that I gave the product 8/10 kisses and not 10/10 kisses as the colour did fade as the day went on but with a few re-applications it was great!
 Rating: 8/10 kisses
(p.s My formal is coming up soon and I will definitely be wearing this lipstain!)

Style Love!: Casual Boho Stylin' with Lucy Hale

One of my favourite shows is Pretty Little Liars, and as you ladies might know Lucy Hale is one of the stars. Her on-screen and off-screen fashion is girl-crushworthy! On-screen she loves layering, and adding eclectic touches to her outfits (future post on this guaranteed!) Off-screen her outfits scream boho babe. Take the picture above, super cute, super fashionable and super easy to copy!
Tips for the look:
  • Basic T-Shirt: Every girl should have a well-fitting, super comfortable white t-shirt in their closet. It is a staple item that you can mix in to any outfit! The only thing to watch out for though when choosing a white T-shirt that at times it can be made from thin material therefore giving an unflattering dimension to your body and being see-through. (No pressure though, I am still looking for the perfect staple basic tee!)
  • Vest: Add a vest on top of your t-shirt! Vests add a boho vibe and can help make an outfit look more casual. In the picture Lucy has a black vest with fringe detail, anything fringe again can add a boho vibe!
  • Denim shorts: Next add a pair of denim shorts. Comfty, looks good and is perfect for warm weather!
  • Boots: Any pair of up-to-the-knee boots will match the outfit but by picking black boots it will match the vest and therefore pull the outfit together.
  • Statement Long Necklace: Often you will see Nicole Richie, Vanessa Hudgens and Demi Lovato throwing on a long necklace to add a finishing touch to their outfit. This is exactly what Lucy Hale has done and therefore adds interest to her look. You don't necessarily have to wear the exact same necklace as in the picture but by finding a necklace that is similar length or shape will help you achieve this look to a T.
  • Handbag: Lucy has a bright coloured handbag in the picture which adds a pop of colour to her outfit. The good part is that any handbag will look good with the whole look. I personally have a long brown messenger bag that I would love to pair with this!
  • Sunnies: Protect your lovely peepers with some fashionable sunnies; just throw on your favourite pair!

Style Love: Brenda Song's Edgy Rocker Look!

Brenda Song in the picture above epitomises the effortless edgy rock look that I love! The loose tousled waves to the relaxed but gorgeous outfit makes for a great look! Also what spiked my interest to the outfit is when I read that guys love this look due to it's casual, and cool appeal!
Tips for the look:
  • Hair: A rocker chic look is not complete without tousled loose waves!
  • Tank Dress: Just like the one Brenda is wearing throw on a tank dress that has an interesting detail in the front. If you are curvy opt for a more fitted dress and if you are of athletic build then go for a loose fitted one.
  • Fringe Vest: The fringe vest adds an effortless bohemian vibe. Fringe is fun and adds a nice touch to the outfit.
  • Belt:  Throw on any belt that you wish like Brenda did! Remember if you would like to accentuate your curves or make your body seem curvier then tie the belt around your waist (as it is the skinniest part of your body).
  • Shoes:  The best thing about the outfit is that you can dress it down by wearing flip flops or sandals, or dress it up with wedges or heels!

Hot Hair: Nicole Richie-esque Headscarves!

Bad hair day? Thank goodness for headscarves! You can wear them in a multitude of ways, and they disguise bad hair days! Just like Nicole Richie in the picture above; just throw your hair up in a messy bun, leave your bangs/fringe out and add a pretty headscarf to finish off the look! It gives a very 'I just threw this on' look, very effortless! I love headscarves I have quite a few from leopard print to plaid, you can throw it on whenever and it can change up your look. It's also super-cute for school/college!
(p.s major exams are over for now so I'm baaaack to blogging :D!)

Hot Hair: Emmy Rossum's Curly Cute Updo!

I love Emmy Rossum's hair in the picture above! Looks super cute and is super easy to do! Perfect for going out to coffee with the girls, going shopping, and even for school/college!
What you need:
  • Bobby pins
  • Hairspray
  • Hair elastic
  • Curling Iron
  • Heat Protectant
  • Hair Brush
How to get the look!:
  1. Apply a heat protectant to your hair and brush it through in order for it to be evenly distributed
  2. Now it's time to curl your hair! To get super tight curls like Emmy's a clampless small curling iron is preferred but don't worry you can use basically any curling iron! Just wrap small sections (the smaller sections, the tighter the curl) and spritz with  hairspray after your done. If it looks too done up for your taste then just tip your head upside down and tousle it up!
  3. Lightly tie your now-curly hair into a messy high ponytail letting sections fall out to frame your face. Then wrap the ponytail around itself gently to form a messy bun and pin in place. This step is optional, if you want to leave it as a curly cute ponytail, you totally can!
  4. Hairspray again if you like, it's completely optional and just twist and pin any sections you don't want around your face
(p.s Sorry I haven't updated regularly in a while, I have major exams going on but as soon as they are over, I'll be back posting regularly :) !)

Love The Look!: It's Electric Blue Baby

Singer/rapper Eve above rocks the electric blue look! It's super fun makeup that would be great for going to a club or a fun photoshoot! Looks cute and is easy to do, want to know how?
How to get the look:
  • Face- Dewy or matte foundation it's all up to what you prefer!
  • Cheeks- Eve has on a pretty pink blush accentuating her cheekbones but if you don't want to go too dramatic then opt for a peachy-golden blush instead
  • Eyes- This part is simple, take an electric blue or royal blue eyeshadow and apply on your upper eye-lids and the outer third of  your  lower lashline (this would be the most flattering way to apply the colour to not go overboard). For a pop of brightness add a shimmery highlight colour to the inner corners of your eyes, this helps accentuate and 'pretty-up' the eyes. Eve seems to have a black eyeshadow on the outer third of her crease and upper eyelid and outer third of her lower lashline. Add some black eyeliner and black mascara and voila!
  • Lips- To counteract the drama of the eyes apply a pretty pink or peach lipstick and top with gloss and your done!
(p.s wondering why Eve's makeup focused on the outer third of her eyes? It's a common trick used to accentuate the eyes and make it appear more almond or cat-like!)

Beauty Tidbit: Save Overplucked Brows!

Ahh what we do for beautiful brows! We've all done it, we're plucking away to get that perfect shape and oops we went a little too far. This has happened to me a few times, my tweezers just keep going and going! But don't worry it's not the end of the world because these eyebrow-saving tips are right below!

Tips:
  1. Think realistically: Brows take about 4-6 weeks to grow back, but it's different for everyone some eyebrows will start growing back a few days to a week after over-tweezing!
  2. Diet: It's all about diet, your hair grows quicker when you have a healthy diet so the same applies for eyebrows. Just eat healthy and if you can, take some hair, nail, & skin supplements that help the growth process also. I also heard that bananas help your hair grow fast, maybe this applies to eyebrows as well? Not sure, so if anyone tries it let me know!
  3. Fill it in with an eyebrow pencil: An eyebrow pencil is your new best friend! It will temporarily fill in those sparse and over-tweezed areas while you are waiting for your brows to grow back. Make sure to choose a shade one to two shades lighter than your actual hair colour.
  4. Toothbrush and Vaseline: When I overtweezed my eyebrow and was desperate I came upon this trick on the internet. I do it every night and it really does help! Unfortunately you are not going to get your brows back after one night of doing this but after a week you will start seeing an improvement. Basically what you need is a clean toothbrush (a separate one from the one you use to brush your teeth), rub it in circular motions on the parts of your brows you want to grow. This is going to help with blood circulation which will enable growth. Then apply vaseline onto the areas you want to grow. Vaseline is used in order to provide moisture and helps growth.
I hope these tips have helped and just remember think positive and don't think about your eyebrow dillemma and they will grow back faster than you think!

Love the Look!: Ooh La La Romance

One of my favourite looks, doesn't the picture above just epitomize everything we girls love about romantic looks? Tousled messy low bun or braid, a romantic hair adornment, soft smokey copper/bronze eyes, flushed pink lips and a pink stained lip! Love it!
How to get the look:
  • Eyes: Just put some bronze or copper eyeshadow on your lids and underneath your lower lashline and blend blend blend for a smokey but natural eye and then add some mascara !
  • Cheeks: The model above seems to just have some pink blush on the apples of the cheeks to give a flushed look.
  • Lips: That soft, not quite lipstick look is given by using a lipstain! I love lipstains, they deliver colour, literally last for ages and it doesn't make you look as done up as you would with a lipstick. My suggestion, is to use Covergirl Lipstains, they're the best!
  • Hair: Let a few face framing, pieces out and tie the rest of your hair into a low messy bun to give that romantic look. If you have time curl your hair with a curling iron before putting it into a messy bun to get texture and waves. In the picture above the model is also wearing a necklace on her head, bobby-pinned in place!

A Little Crush On: Cameron Mitchell!

I must be boy-crazy this month with all my "little crush on" posts! Oh well, these oh-so-cute guys will definetly put a smile on your face! The guy above is Cameron Mitchell, adorably geeky and yet hot, and charming at the same time! He's currently a contestant on The Glee Project, and he might just win the show! Why? Well, appart from his awesome personality, it's his amazing voice! Interested? Then hit the link below! (& prepare for your heart to melt!)

Hot Hair!: Bangin' It!

Whether you want a blunt, dramatic look or an edgy, rock and roll one, bangs/fringe can change up your look in an instant! Lea Michelle (above) is rocking an edgy piecey, eye grazing fringe that draws the attention to her eyes and gives her a gorgeous overall look!  If you are interested in getting the cut, you might want to be aware of the maintenance that comes with it, see the tips for the look below!

Tips for the look:
  • Straight hair: Ladies with straight hair don't need to worry about fringe maintenance, lucky you!
  • Wavy hair: I personally have wavy hair and have had a fringe before so I know from experience that a handy blow-dryer/hair straightener helps avoid a wonky fringe!
  • Curly hair: Make sure to avoid a frizzy fringe by using products that help combat frizz!
  • Washing the fringe: Make sure to wash your fringe everyday as it can tend to get oilier than the rest of your hair, and can therefore lead to forehead breakouts!
Despite the things you have to take into consideration, getting the cut can have fringe-tastic benefits such as; drawing the attention to your eyes, hiding accidentally over plucked eyebrows or a large forehead. It can also add an edgy or dramatic look as well!

A Little Crush On: Paul Wesley!

If I do a "crush on" segment for Ian Somerhalder, I had to do one for Paul Wesley! I think the brothers on the Vampire Diaries are hot in their own way, Damon is the bad-boy with a sensitive side and Stefan is the sweet and brooding guy! The thing that makes Paul crush material, apart from his good looks, is that he is humble and has a great sense of humour! The thing that really won me over was when I saw an interview of him with George Lopez, link below!
(p.s He speaks polish! A guy who can speak another language? Yes, please!)

A Little Crush On: Ian Somerhalder!

Enjoying the shirtless picture of Ian above ladies? Yes Ian Somerhalder is hot, hot, hot!  He plays the bad-boy , with a sensitive side (swoon!)Damon Salvatore on the hit show The Vampire Diaries! You might have also seen him on Lost! His tousled 'Romeo' hair, smouldering emerald eyes, chisselled and rugged features and a unique sense of style all add to his appeal! It's interesting to note that he is apparently dating his Vampire Diaries co-star Nina Dobrev (who plays Elena), I guess that sizzling on-screen chemistry transferred off-screen as well!

Love the Look!: Eva Mendes' Coral Lips

Coral lips are perfect for those of you who are experiencing summer and spring at the moment! It's a fun way to incorporate colour into your makeup look and looks super gorgeous! Eva Mendes paired her coral lips with a similar coral blush on the cheeks, kept eye makeup quite neutral and natural and went for effortless waves.
Tips for  the look:
  • Keep the colour of the blush and lip  to the same colour family to get a more polished look and use blush sparingly as you want the focus of your face to be your pretty coral lips.
  • Go for a more natural and neutral eye and tousled waves, for that effortless look that Eva has in the picture above!

Style Love!: Preppy Casual with Ashlee Olsen!

Effortless, sophisticated, preppy & perfectly casual. Ashlee Olsen totally rocks the "low maintenance" look! Pair this look with tousled beach waves and natural makeup. Ashlee's style tends to be more casual and minimalistic than Mary-Kate's but nevertheless I am a big fan of both sisters' style!
Tips for the look:
  • Sunglasses: Preferrably black wayfarers!
  • Button down shirt: Unbutton a few buttons for a sexy and effortless look & tuck into jeans
  • Skinny jeans: Comfort is key, so throw on your favourite pair of dark blue or black skinny jeans!
  • Shoes: Gladiator wedges would be perfect for the look but any strappy wedge heels would be fab as well!
  • Gold wrist accesory: Throw on a gold watch or bracelet and voila!

Hot Hair!: Braided Ponytail!

I am really liking the braided ponytail at the moment! I think it looks super cute and pretty. Sorry the picture above isn't of the best quality but as you can see that the scene is from Gossip Girl, where Serena (Blake Lively) on the right, is rocking the look. The great thing is that it is super easy and can be done in minutes! Below I've attached a youtube link which will show you how to do it step by step, but for the basic how-to for the look;
How to get the look:
  1. Pull your hair into a high ponytail and secure with an elastic
  2. Braid your ponytail (you can braid it halfway or all the way, it's all up to you!) and secure with an elastic

Love the Look!: Bombshell Hair & Sweetie Pie Makeup!

My absolute favourite look from this year's Video Music Awards was definitely Selena Gomez! I think she looks absolutely gorgeous! Her Bridgitte Bardot-esque bombshell hair, diffused soft smokey eye and pink lips, I love it! This look would definitely be flattering on anybody!
Tips for the look:
  • Hair: Leave out two large-ish pieces of your bangs, then wrap around the outside of your curling iron making sure to curl away from your face (as this is more flattering). Mould it with your fingers to make sure you get that "swoosh" Selena has in the photo above. Then twist once or twice sections of hair before pinning them back to get the texture in the picture above.
  • Eyes: Apply some neutral beige to the lids. Then grab an angled eyeshadow brush, dampen it and then dip it into a black eyeshadow (use grey if you prefer a softer look) then line the top lashline, and outer third of your bottom lashline. Line your waterline with a black eyeliner and then smudge it out. Curl eyelashes and apply a few coats of mascara .
  • Lips: Apply a peachy-nude-pink lipstick and matching gloss!

Hot Hair!: Strands to the Side Glamour!

Miranda Kerr, Pippa Middleton & Kim Kardashian in the picture above all look gorgeous with their hair thrown to one side! It's very simple & looks so pretty! To get the look just put all your hair to one side, simple right? Looks great with wavy, voluminous or straight hair.

Love the Look!: Girl Next Door Makeup!

It's no secret I'm a huge fan of Whitney Port! She seems like such a lovely, down-to-earth, fashionable girl that anyone would want to be friends with! Her makeup in the picture above is the perfect look for a natural, girl next door, 'I'm pretty and I didn't even try' look. Guys are sure to like this enhancing yet natural makeup on you!
Tips for the look:
  • Eyes: Whitney has a deep peach colour blended on her lids, with a thin to thick line of black liquid eyeliner and one or two coats of black mascara. If you want to go for an even more natural look, use a dark brown liquid liner & mascara instead.
  • Eyebrows: Since you are going for quite a natural look you want to make sure your eyebrows are groomed and neat, in order to do so use a brow gel or brush to comb in place and fill in sparse areas with a brow pencil. When filling in your eyebrows always use a pencil that is a one or two shades lighter than your hair color. For example, I have black hair so I use a medium-brown.
  • Cheeks: Whitney has a deep peach-pink on to accentuate her cheekbones and give her a blushing look.
  • Lips: Finish off the look with a deep pink lipgloss and voila!

Love the Look!: Bronze Smoke & Red Lips!

This is a pairing of my two favourite beauty looks; soft bronze smokey eyes and red lips! The models in the picture look gorgeous thanks to their soft, sultry eyes and vixen red pout!
Tips for the look:
  • Eyes: Since you are going for red lips, it's recommended to keep the eye makeup soft. Doing it this way allows your eyes to look smokey and sultry and compliment your red lipstick, rather than look like you are wearing too much makeup. To achieve this, simply apply bronze eyeshadow to the eyelids and underneath the lower lashline then blend, blend, blend!
  • Skin: Dewey skin is key, apply a tinted moisturiser or dewey foundation
  • Lips: Line lips with a red pencil in order to have a clean shape and fill them in, by filling in your lips with a lip-liner allows your lipstick to last longer. Apply lipstick on top and voila!

Girl of the Moment!: Hanna Beth

Hanna Beth (on the right) is my pick of girl of the moment! She's that effortlesly cool girl that everyone wants to be friends with, with her unihibited love for all things cute and edgy, her assorted tattoos, and her unique and gorgeous style, she's definetly a girl to watch! I especially love her blog (link below!)

Outfit of the Day!: Military Floral with a Boho Twist!

I wore a floral ruffled above the knee dress, black tights and tall black boots (which will be featured in an upcoming outfit of the day post). On top I had a military-esque khaki green shirt, I rolled up the sleeves and tied it at the waist to accentuate it. Next for jewellery I wanted to add a boho feel so I stacked on some bracelets (a brown tied rope bracelet, & wisdom beads) & stuck with a gold color scheme when I layered necklaces. The important thing when layering necklaces is you want to make sure that they are different lengths, as in the picture you can see I have on a short, medium and long one, so they compliment eachother.

Style Love!: Loving the Leather!

Ahh the leather jacket- perfect for adding an edge, and it is so versatile it can be worn from day to night. I love the leather jacket, it's one of those timeless pieces that can go with pretty much everything. It's starting to get chilly where I am so I will definetly be wearing this during fall and winter. Kim Kardashian is one of my fashion idols, she definetly knows how to choose fashionable and gorgeous clothing that flatters and accentuates! The above picture is a perfect example of an edgy night look- with her bombshell tousled waves, dramatic eye makeup, leather jacket and statement necklace, white tee paired with distressed jeans and heels! It's definetly a "I'm cool, and I didn't even try" look!

Lots of Love!: House of Harlow 1960!

Althought I can't afford it, being a huge fan of Nicole Richie's style, naturally I love her jewellery line- House of Harlow 1960! I think the name is original and fashionable and the jewellery exudes boho chic! If you are a big fan of her style, more posts on Nicole's enviable boho style will be coming soon!

Love the Look!: Smokey Eyes & Tousled Waves!

Nina Dobrev & Kayla Ewell's looks are perfect for a night out! With their tousled waves and smokey eyes, they look gorgeous! For tips for the look, look below.
Tips for the look:
  • Eyes: Nina (on the left) has a bronze/brown smokey eye going on, so just take a dark brown eyeshadow and apply to the lid, then add a bronze eyeshadow on top of that then blend blend blend. Kayla (on the right) has a navy smokey eye, simply apply a navy eyeshadow to the lids and very close to the lashline underneath your eye, and blend it all out.
  • Cheeks: Both girls have a peach blush on to accentuate their cheekbones, so to do this take a peach blush, a blush brush and lightly sweep it on your cheekbones.
  • Lips: Nina's got on a light reddish pink shade of lipstick while Kayla is wearing a peachy pink one.
  • Hair: Wrap hair small sections of hair around the outside of the barell to give big loose waves, use your fingers to lightly loosen them up if too tight, spritz with hairspray and voila!

Style Love!: Boho Chic Maxis!

I love Nicole Richie's style, especially when she rocks a boho maxi! I love how she has fun with the style of maxis she chooses, from bold and colourful to flowing and summery! By pairing a maxi dress with boho accesories like the necklace or upper arm bracelet Nicole's wearing above, you can emulate the effortless bohemian style. You can also add a leather jacket to edge it up, which will keep you warm for those colder times.
I just love love Nicole Richie's style and Boho Chic Maxis!

Love the Look!: Smokey Bronze with the Olsens!

The Olsen sisters in the picture look gorgeous; & it's their soft natural bronze-brown smokey eye that takes centre stage! This is one of my favourite looks to do! It's super easy to do, so if you are interested look at the tips for the look below!

How to get the look:
  • Face: To get the Olsen glow, use a tinted moisturiser and brush on a bit of peach blush
  • Eyebrows: It is important to fill in and use a brow gel on your eyebrows
  • Eyes: Simply put on a light bronze eyeshadow on your lid and underneath your lower lashline, then blend. Take a darker brown or bronze and use in the crease, blend the colours together to get that soft smoky look. Since you are using bronze shades, it's important to use a highlight colour on your browbone. Then put on a few coats of your favourite mascara!
  • Lips: Dab on a nude peachy lipstick, add gloss then voila!

Style Love!: 2011 Met Costume Gala!

I love the Met Costume Gala which is held each year. I'm always curious to see what the celebs will wear! This year my favourites were;
Bar Refaeli is wearing a mixed metal dress which I absolutely love! It has a kind of glam tribal feel to it. Also the turquoise earrings makes the outfit go from gorgeous to stunning!
Jessica Szohr is wearing a fun and edgy dress which I think is gorgeous but I'm not really a big fan of the shoes, sorry!
Salma Hayek's dress epitomises everything that is romantic glamour, so so pretty!
Nicole Richie's dress exudes vintage glamour, I love love the cut-outs on the arms!

Kate Hudson glows in this metallic cream dress with sparkling detail, I think it's so pretty because it makes her look all glowy and plus what a great dress to wear, when you're pregnant or not! Not sure about the thing in her hair though, what do you ladies think?

Love the Look!: Hot Pink Lips!

What do you girls say, do or don't? I personally think do! I think it can look fun, edgy & sweet if done correctly, so if you want to try this daring look please take a peek at the tips for the look.

Tips for the look:
  • Make sure to whiten your teeth beforehand, some shades of hot pink tend to make teeth look yellow.
  • Choose a hot pink that has a blue undertone, as it will help make your teeth look whiter!
  • Since your lips will be taking center stage, keep eye makeup to a minimum. Katerina did wear black eyeliner but only in her waterline and top lashes (for a defined but not over-the top look), and used neutral eyeshadows such as beige and brown.

Love the Look!: Burgundy Lips

Burgundy Lips. Some people love it, some are too scared to try it but I'm here to tell you that its all about the shade of the colour you use. Use the right shade of Burgundy and it can look really gorgeous. Megan Fox in the picture above is wearing a purple-toned shade of Burgundy,  it looks great on her but it is a difficult shade to pull off. I personally love red toned burgundy because it's easier to pull off. Once you put the lipstick on, it becomes the main focus of your face and adds a sultry but classic kind of look. Here is a picture of the burgundy lipstick I love to use (Avon lipstick in Cherry Jubilee);
So if you are looking to buy a burgundy lipstick, which can be found everywhere in drugstores, make sure it has a reddish tone to it, as it is more flattering and easier to pull off.

Style Love!: Flirty Floral with Aly Michalka!

The birds are chirping outside & the sun is shining for all you girls that get to get all dressed up for spring. If you think like me Spring = Floral. Aly Michalka (above right) is wearing a floral dress that would look flattering on everyone. See how it kind of looks like a bustier on top? It would look great on anyone!

Tips for this look:
  • By layering necklaces like Aly did, it adds a boho appeal which I personally think is gorgeous.
  • By choosing bright and fun floral dresses, you will definitely win some compliments.
  • The main thing is to have fun with it! Florals dresses are cute & flirty, you can't really go wrong!

La Di Da: Wondering About My Blog's Name?

Ellie Boop is the name I chose for my blog because I love Betty Boop. She's cute, innocent & sexy at the same time and I love those qualities. My blog is here emulate that, to be fun and give all you ladies ideas on all things makeup, style and everything girly in general. I'm going to keep trying to improve my blog but the most important thing is that I sincerely hope that you like my blog!

Girl of the Moment!: Leighton Meester

Leighton Meester's the girl of the moment! Firstly let's talk about the pictures above, which were in Marie-Claire. An edgier picture of leighton on the left with a Chanel temporary tattoo on her back and with a gorgeous (and daring) jet-black smokey eye and dark lips. The braided bun is also very popular right now. The picture in the right where she wears barely there eye makeup and red lips, results in a very pretty look.
Leighton's one of those girls that is just effortlessly cool. She's got a unique sense of style, is always fashion forward and is not afraid to change up her makeup! She doesn't take herself too seriously either; she showed up to an interview with Cosmopolitan a while ago makeupless, wearing glasses and in sweats!
 ♥

Hot Nail Look!: Ombre Nails

It never occured to me to try this but when I saw the picture above, I was won over! Such a cool idea, and looks so good! For you girls that hoard nail polish like I do, just choose five different shades of the same colour family. Pinks, Reds, Blues so many options!
♥

Love the Look!: Classic Look with Pink Lips

I think Kate Moss looks beautiful in this picture, do you guys?  I love the soft cat eye, minimal eyeshadow, sculpted cheeks and of course the oh-so-pretty kissable-looking pink lips paired with tousled hair! This look is so gorgeous!

How to get the look:
  • Eyes: Kate Moss appears to have no eyeshadow on in the picture but a neutral colour close to your skin tone will do the trick. To achieve her cat-eye look, use a liquid eye liner (for a bolder look) or an angled brush dipped in black eyeshadow (for a softer look). If you would like, a post on how to do cat-eye liner can be found in the archives on my blog.
  • Face: Kate's dewy skin can be achieved by using a tinted moisturiser or a foundation that enables maximum dewyness! Revlon's Photoready Foundation (drugstore option) or Nars' Sheer Glow Foundation (higher end option)  would be perfect to achieve this! & to get the appearance of sculpted cheeks, sweep a dark rose blush on your cheekbones.
  • Lips: Sweep on your favourite pink lipstick, top with gloss and voila!

Love the Look!: Vanessa Hudgens for Candie's

Vanessa Hudgens looks absolutely gorgeous in the new Candie's campaign. Black eyeliner enhances her sultry stare, loose effortless looking curls and peachy pink lips gives a sweet with an edge kind of look. I love all the photos for the campaign so I will be posting more soon!

Love the Look!: Scarlett Johansson Edgy Chic

Scarlett Johansson looks fierce on the cover of Vogue China! Her gray-bronze smokey eye, nude lips and her gorgeous white lace dress with studded details (I want that dress! It's so pretty!) makes for a super pretty cover.  Also her new choppy bob looks gorgeous and is a nice change to all the bobs we see in magazines!

The Trick to this look:
The trick to her fresh looking haircut is that she has tons of texture in it. If you want to emulate this look then just grab a small dollop of hair wax and play around with it! Don't overdo it though or else you're hair will be more greasy than gorgeous!

Girl of the Moment!: Vanessa Hudgens

Vanessa Hudgens is the girl of the moment! Her kick-ass girl power movie Suckerpunch is coming out soon (yes, I can't wait until it comes out!), and with her glossy dark locks, smouldering eye makeup and cool, effortless outfits she definitely earns the spot of girl of the moment.

Hot Hair!: A Pretty Updo with Kim Kardashian!

This updo is cute, casual and super easy to do! Adding a headband like Kim Kardashian did in the picture above also adds a cute detail. In my opinion, the updo looks somewhere in between grecian goddess and ballerina babe.

Tips for the look:
  • For curly hair: If you already have curly or wavy hair just make a messy bun quite high up on your head and then add a headband similar to the one Kim has.
  • For straight/wavy hair: Curl your hair beforehand, spritz with hairspray, make a messy bun quite high up on your head and add a headband!

Style Love!: Pretty in Pink with Alexa Chung!

Seeing this dress makes me smile. I was browsing through Gosh Celebrity Fashion- an online clothing websitehttp://www.goshcelebrityfashion.com.au/ ) that sells clothing that are inspired by celebrity fashion. Casual clothes to cocktail dresses, the website is perfect for someone looking to buy or just for a quick drool (haha)! The clothes are gorgeous! When I saw this dress, I thought it was adorable! I think Alexa Chung looks great in it too. Although I did not buy it, I just wanted to share it with everyone here, so we can all just admire it's cuteness.

Product Love!: Baby Lips

290px_Model shot
Brand: Maybelline
Price: $4.25
For best result as suggested by Maybelline:
Apply lip balm daily to deliver moisturised, soft and comfortable lips. A great base for your favourite Maybelline gloss or lipstick.
What I think? Love, love, love it! My lips are incredibly smooth and after a week of constant reapplication, I definitely noticed a major improvement! The formula is not sticky, goes on smoothly and smells so yummy! I have it in Smoothing Cherry and it is my favourite but Anti-Oxidant Berry smells nice as well! (Not sure about Energizing Orange or Relieving Menthol though!)
Rating: 10/10 kisses (really you can't go wrong with lip balm!)
